Those of you who know me know that I’m a big fan of Flogging Molly. so you know I’m pretty pleased that they are releasing a new album on March 4th. On top of that, they’re currently streaming the whole album on their myspace page.
I’ve been a bit too busy to write, the wife’s been sick and I’ve been trying to hold down the fort.
I’ll write again soon.
Carries control, phase one.
I’m sitting here with a hole in my mouth where a molar used to be, and waiting for the codeine to kick in.
Hope you’re having a good day.
Say, you know what’s small, cubelike, and sounds like a squirrel being electrocuted?
My PCs power supply…..
Fortunately, power supplies are pretty cheap when ordered over the internet, as opposed to the retail stores that want 80 bucks for a 600w.
I don’t really celebrate Christmas like most people. I’m not big on the whole gift thing, I’m not big on the whole party/feast thing. I just like to relax. Mind you, I’m no grinch. I try not to ruin it for the kids with my lack of enthusiasm. So you couple my overall indifference with the kids overall impatience, and you have us opening gifts early.
It started last year. I had gotten done my shopping (the last to do so, as always) early for once (as in a week before Christmas as opposed to the day before Christmas eve. Lisa was practically vibrating with excitement, and Karen was getting tired of having to keep her away from the gifts. Em didn’t do much back then. We decided to open early, which turned out to be a good thing, as Lisa ended up in the hostpital for four days, getting out the day before Christmas eve. Hectic times before Christmas aside, our Christmas day was the most relaxed any of us had ever had. We made the decision then to just open the weekend after we finished buying every year thereafter.
Well, it’s been a year, and I got done shopping this week, so we opened today. Now everyone’s relaxed.
I like the way we do Christmas :)
The day before yesterday, while my wife took the eldest to play practice (she’s in the Christmas play at church), I took the opportunity to shave. Em watched intently asking the same question every ten seconds or so.
“Daddy, whatcha doin’?”
“Shaving, honey.”
A half hour later, I’m down in the living room, and I hear her exclaim from the dining room, “Oh, there’s mine!” Then I hear water running in the bathroom. Naturally I was curious, so I went up to the bathroom to see what was going on. She had grabbed an Expo dry erase marker that has an eraser shaped somwhat like a razor. This is what I was treated to:
Just got done with what boiled down to a three-week long root canal at the dental college. Don’t drink soda kids, or your teeth will rot out of your mouth.
I don’t know what it is, but just about every year at this time I get sick…this year it was Thanksgiving night.
bleh. At least Call of Duty 4 is helping ease the pain.
